Personality testing comes of age, with wider use for many job levels. Over the past few years, personality assessment tests have moved from the realm of experiment to standard practice at many of the nation's largest companies, including the Albertson's grocery chain and retailers such as Neiman Marcus and Target. A recent survey found that about 30 percent of all companies use personality tests in hiring. RED HOT STATS: And the Winner Is…

The 2005 Global Bench Games, as they were dubbed by sponsor Brainbench, wrapped up the two week competition period on April 4th. Over 220 countries and some 200k+ individuals participated. Some of the stats surprises included: India toppling the USA as the #1 country in online certifications; former eastern European bloc Romania, Russian Federation, Ukraine, Latvia and Bulgaria taking slots #3-7; most certified country by percentage of population – tiny Christmas Island, with Latvia, Bulgaria and Romania making it into the Top 10 there as well; and Delaware being the most certified state in the U.S. by percentage of population.
