Results of the Rocket-Hire "Quick Survey" Applicant Tracking System Usage Today

You can see by the answers to questions #1 and #2 that the participants in the survey represent organizations of all sizes, and that nearly 60% of these have an ATS, with another nearly 20% getting ready to implement one. According to the responses in #3 – the vast majority of the respondents feel that an ATS is or will be a necessity in their staffing operations.

4. If you answered "Yes" to Question 2, how satisfied are you with the way the this system functions?

The range of responses to this question ran from “Very” (29%) to “Limited, but good low cost solution”. Many answers reflected that the value perceived seemed to be in the ‘narrowing the funnel’ category, and that there is certainly room for improvement.

5. If you answered "Yes" to Question 2, please discuss what you like MOST about your ATS system.

The to this question were even more varied than #4. Some responders were happy to have ‘all the data in one place’. Others liked the search function and ability to match on multiple criteria. Some users appreciated having a ‘one-click’ job posting feature. Overall – automation of the hiring process and ease-of-use of the system were in some way highlighted.

6. If you answered "Yes" to Question 2, please discuss what you like LEAST about your ATS system.

Once again, each respondent had an individual pet peeve, but there were some themes: Slowness of the system, limited search ability, lack of screening tools, vendor support disappointments and too complex on the process. Another overall complaint – limited reporting.

7. Does your ATS system offer the ability to create qualifications screening questions?

In this category, respondents addressed most of the same issues they identified in #6 – things like: adding qualifications screening questions, better search capabilities, automatic interview scheduling, speeding up the process flow and system, and the every ubiquitous “better reporting”.

CONCLUSION
